25 kg (55 lb) bag of imported rice cost between $30 - $45 USD. Unfortunately due to government import and export policies with the US, local Haitian rice is generally more expensive to purchase and in most cases, local farmers cannot sell produce to local markets.

A 55 lb bag of rice can usually support about 10–14 families, depending on how much each family receives. We give each family roughly 5.5 lb of rice, enough for about 12–18 family servings, depending on household size.

The price of a cow varies widely based on its age, size, health, breed, and whether it's intended for breeding, dairy, or meat. Through building relationships with the community,  a healthy mature cow will cost between $800–1,200 USD.
